Summer 2022

Summer Programs

The Montessori School offers six, one week sessions that are themed each summer! Families can register for any or all weeks. Enrollment closed on June 1st. You may contact us to inquire about late registration after that deadline. Please note The Montessori School Summer Programs are open to the public. If you are not currently enrolled or an alumni family, please contact us prior to your registration so we can gather some additional information!

Students ages 3-12 will partake in the themed camp every morning from 8-11:30am. They will then have lunch (families pack a lunch for their child) and the afternoon will be unstructured free play in a Montessori environment. They will be placed based on age in either the Primary or Elementary program. Students will have lots of outdoor learning experiences, visit our neighboring park/playground, play board games, and engage with staff who have a love for education! Pricing is $300/week for 8am-3pm or $400/week for 7:30am-5:30pm. See the full descriptions and dates of each themed program below.

Summer Programs

June 20-24: Outdoor Exploration
We’ll spend the week exploring our campus and surrounding natural areas! Each day we’ll hike to and explore a new area discovering the flora and fauna in each habitat. Students will have the opportunity to collect soil and water samples and examine them using scientific tools!

June 27-July 1: Animal Interactions
A week filled with animal facts, exploration, crafts, and knowledge about all sorts of animals. This week we will have a special visit from the John Ball Zoo traveling zoo where we will have close encounters with various types of animals. Come explore with us as we venture through the animal kingdom.

July 11-15: STEAM Week
Join us as we let our imagination soar to new heights during STEAM week. Students will have opportunities to create cardboard creations while applying the engineering design process as they brainstorm ideas, learn to create simple blueprints, and then test and build designs.

July 18-22: Treasures & Quests
Join us as we explore a new quest each day. We will start our week with simple but fun scavenger hunts and end our week with an ultimate treasure hunt using treasure maps created by students.

July 25-29: Culinary Creations
Join us in an immersive culinary adventure as we explore fun and healthy recipes. Students will learn to plan and prepare delicious recipes from start to finish.

August 1-5: Recycled Art
Join us as we explore our artistic expression through various mediums while using recycled materials to create beautiful art! A week-long program provides time for students to generate ideas, explore design concepts and then create a finished product to share on the final day of camp at our Recycled Art Exhibit.
