Family Education Events
Getting Your Child Ready for Montessori prepares adults at home on how to support their child as they prepare to enter the Montessori classroom. It provides families with helpful hints about how to adapt the home environment to complement their educational experience and allow the child more independence. Family Information Nights take place before the start of school for new families. This orientation session will answer many of your questions and prepare parents for the routines of the classroom. These can be found on the all-school calendar here.
Back to School Bash: This year this event will be held on September 5th, 2023 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Families can drop-in anytime to the playground at 750 Howard St. (the Primary building). Bring a picnic dinner if desired and we will provide the treats!
Journey and Discovery is a wonderful two-day event that allows parents to experience Montessori as their child does. Parents are guided through the Montessori environment and allowed to actively engage with lessons and materials as they explore the classrooms from Primary through Upper Elementary. COMING FEBRUARY 2024!
Family Open Houses are held each year for each classroom. These events provide an opportunity for students to show off their progress, for families to get to know one another, and for informal conversation with the staff of each classroom.
Resources & Forms
Our Family Handbook (here) is a great resource you can simply review or download a copy of. The handbook is updated annually in early August with important policies, procedures, and dates.
Weather Guidelines (here) are available to all classrooms to aid us in the current wind-chill factor or heat index before going outdoors. We abide by wind speed and relative humidity shared by WWMT 3 (here). You can sign-up for text alerts as well.

All Student Information Forms can be found and completed on Transparent Classroom. New families are sent an invitation to this family portal each summer. All families are notified by email when a form is available to complete or must be updated.
The All School Calendar can be viewed here. We update this frequently so families can explore all upcoming events and special dates.
Volunteers are welcome at both the Classroom and Administrative level. We encourage family involvement whenever possible. To inquire about current opportunities, contact us.
We are immensely grateful whenever prospective families are referred to us from current families. For each referral that results in enrollment, a $100 credit is applied to the referring family's account.
