The Kalamazoo Promise for TMS Students
While The Montessori School (TMS) is a private institution and not affiliated with Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS), students who enter KPS following their time at TMS qualify for prorated benefits through The Kalamazoo Promise based on their year of enrollment at KPS.
Students who attend TMS through the completion of our Elementary Program prior to entering the KPS system are still eligible for a 75% tuition scholarship through The Kalamazoo Promise. See the full breakdown of benefits awarded below.
The benefit will be graduated on the basis of length of continuous attendance and residency in the KPS system.
Please note: Years in Attendance refers to years enrolled in the KPS system. Students of The Montessori School living in the KPS school district who complete our Elementary program would enroll in KPS to begin their 7th-Grade year. Provided they remain enrolled at KPS through the completion of their 12th-Grade year, they would then be eligible to receive 75% of the benefits awarded through The Kalamazoo Promise.
