Our Montessori Summer program is held at the Kalamazoo campus for both our Richland and Kalamazoo families.
- Offered at our Kalamazoo campus
- 9am-noon or 3pm
- Before- and after-school care available 7:30am-5:30pm
The summer program is a continuation of the Montessori classroom experience with additional opportunities for many rich outdoor experiences. Consistency is an essential element in a child’s life. Continuing the patterns established during the traditional school year throughout the summer encourages your child’s interior sense of order and organization.
Within the comfortable parameters of the Montessori environment and with experienced staff, the children explore all kinds of things in the summer. The warm, sunny weather allows children to get outdoors to study plants and insects. They cultivate a garden and learn to care for it as well as harvest and prepare foods from the fruits of their labor. They play cooperative games and, on those especially steamy days, play in the water.
This program is open to children ages 3 to 6 who are currently enrolled or enrolled for Fall as an optional extension of our academic year’s curriculum. It is a relaxed, friendly, educational, and fun summer program.
