Greetings from the Head of School

PamI came to Montessori as a parent, too. I had visited the school my nephews attended in Toronto and knew on the spot this was the kind of environment I wanted for my children. Three young couples founded this school in 1972 for our own children and 26 other little kids showed up! Even after all these years we try to “see” through the eyes and hearts of the parents in our school.

We know the depth of love parents feel for their children. We embrace their hopes and dreams for the future. And we share their anxieties and concerns when there are challenges to be met. Although we can boast about great test scores and flourishing alumni, we are more invested in helping families nurture respectful, responsible and resourceful little individuals.

Hundreds of children have graced our classrooms. The “miracle” of transformation happens year after year, but it never feels less miraculous. We have observed the hyperactive child gently calm and learn to control himself. We have seen the reticent introvert learn to speak up firmly, but kindly, for himself. Nothing is comparable to sparkle of interest and curiosity in a young child’s eye. This is an environment that cradles the emerging little soul and protectively supports its development. This is an environment that values the incredible capacity of the growing young mind. This is a place for the young child to learn valuable life lessons, building a firm foundation for a lifetime.

We welcome your interest in our school. We would love to host your visit.

Welcome to the wonderful world of The Montessori School!

Sincerely,
Pam Boudreau
