Faculty Head of School  Pamela Boudreau is the founder of The Montessori School. She has served as its Head since its inception in 1972. Pam will be retiring as Head of School at the end of this school year. She attended the Art Institute of Chicago, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in art education and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Western Michigan University. Pam completed her Montessori training at the Ohio Montessori Training Institute.Head of School in Training  Judy Hill will co-lead the school this year with our founder, Pam Boudreau. She graduated magna cum laude from Siena Heights College with a bachelor’s degree in social work.. She completed her Montessori training at the Atlanta Montessori Institute. Judy joined our staff in 1978. Judy will assume full leadership of the school in the summer of 2011. In preparation for her leadership role, she has completed the Administration/Governance Seminar at the Montessori Institute of Professional Studies and the North American Montessori Teacher’s Association’s Montessori Whole School Management: Professional Development Course for Administrators.Preschool Head Teachers Kalamazoo Campus  Mary Beyronneau – Primary 1 graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in French and teaching certificates in secondary education and special education. She has a master’s degree in early childhood education from Siena Heights University. Mary received her Montessori training at the Southern Montessori Institute in Miami, Florida. She joined our staff in 1982.
 Anne Kooy - Primary 2 is an alumna of The Montessori School she joined our staff in 2007. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Spring Arbor University in Family Life Education. She received her Montessori training at the Montessori Training Center of St. Louis.
 Marie Medonis - Primary 3 Marie has been with us since 2003. She is a
graduate of the Adrian Montessori Training Institute. She has a bachelor’s
degree from Western Michigan University with an emphasis in Family
Studies.
Rebecca Gillam  Sue Harrington - Richland 1 is a graduate of the University of Minnesota as a French major and a math minor. She completed her training at the Ohio Montessori Training Institute in 1995. Sue taught at Radmoor Montessori in Okemos from 1995-2007.
Gary Heinz  Jennifer Madden - Richland 2 completed her Montessori training at the
Adrian Dominican Montessori Training Center. She is completing her degree
in early childhood education. Jennifer joined our school staff in 2002.
Robin Millar Elementary Head Teachers  Karin Larsen - Elementary 1 Karin joins our staff this year after a long interest in Montessori education. She has been teaching for fourteen years and brings a rich background in creative writing, science and leadership. She completed a B.S. in elementary education at WMU and an MA in education t Marygrove University. She received her training at the North American Montessori Center and the Montessori Institute for Professional Studies.
Becky Blazek 
 Jocelyn Thompson - Elementary 2 is a graduate of Kalamazoo College. She completed her Montessori training at the Washington Montessori Institute and has a master's degree in Montessori education from Loyola University in Baltimore. Jocelyn has been a member of our staff in various capacities since 1991 and became one of our elementary teachers in 1997.
Business Office:  Susan Atkinson - Business Manager Susan joined the school in 1988.
She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree and later went on to
earn a Master’s of Business Administration from Western Michigan
University. She is responsible for the school’s finances and human
resource management. Susan can be reached at
susan@themontessorischool.org Donna Anderson - Office Coordinator Donna holds an associate degree
in Business Administration from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She
has also taken classes at WMU in Business Management. Donna worked at
Pharmacia for 20 years prior to joining our staff in 2003. Her primary
responsibilities include admissions, records management and
communication. Donna can be reached at donna@themontessorischool.orgBarbara Jean - Accounting Clerk Barbara works part time in the
Kalamazoo office. She joined the staff in 2008. Her responsibilities include
accounts payable, child care billing, and other receivables related tasks.
Barbara holds an associate degree in Applied Sciences and has taken many
courses in business and accounting.
 Marie Leaver - Richland Office Clerk Marie holds a bachelor of science
degree in mathematics and later took many courses in business administration at Western
Michigan University. She joined our staff after 20 years in management at Gast
Manufacturing. Marie’s responsibilities include records management, child care billing and
other administrative tasks.
